shed
Just updated to v4 and decided to dump Kayako to make life easier... I am now faced with a confusing mess of international character code issues... My original issue was support emails being sent with gibberish... I opened a ticket and was told to: General Settings > Localisation? If utf-8, also add this line to the config file: $mysql_charset="utf8"; Which just messed up my entire client database with gibberish... I have removed this but am still faced with this confusing problem... In addition, looking at my SQL Database the fields called collation are set to "latin_swedish-ci" if I browse the database with MySQL international characters are shown as 'gibberish' such as 'Ã¥' in place of å - but they display fine in WHMCS... as long as I don't have $mysql_charset="utf8"; in the WHMS config... So, How do I get everything to utf8(presumably what I should be aiming for) without screwing things up??? Terry
