Chance
Hello Everyone, I am very new to WHMCS and Smarty PHP but I have successfully got my own WHMCS up and running and I love it! I am having trouble implementing my own client area template. Hope I am posting to the right forum. Okay, I have followed the WHMCS documentation by copying the default template folder and naming it with a unique name. The new folder is an exact copy of default as I have not changed anything yet. According to the documentation, I can go to Setup -> General Settings -> and select my unique template name from the drop down control named 'Template'. The problem is I do not see my unique template as an available option in that drop down control. I see only 'default' and 'portal'. I have tried everything and am at a loss. Anybody got any ideas as to what I am doing wrong here? All feeback is welcomed.
striddy
FTP to your server, then check what directories exist you under "templates".
Chance
Thanks for the input. FTP shows the default, portal, my_unique, and orderforms sub folders.
hightekhosting
Check the permissions of your my_unique template folder and ensure they are the same as the other templates. Worst case scenario, if you still have issues, open a ticket with support for further assistance Regards, Dale
Chance
Thanks for the help Dale. All the permissions seem to be identical. Everything is the same. I have a ticket submitted to support since yesterday but they must be really busy. Hopefully they will get to my ticket soon. Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.
Chance
Update to all. Figured it out. I originally had WHMCS installed in a subfolder of my primary domain. After acquiring a dedicated IP and SSL, I installed WHMCS in its own domain and forgot to remove it from my primary domain. When I made the template changes, it was done in the original whmcs folder so the domain version was not seeing the new template. As soon as I put the template in the domain root of WHMCS, the template was selectable in the admin area. Live and learn is what I say.... Thanks to all for their help....
