I am wondering about the logistics of something. I will be selling a separate service with monthly allocations, where clients are likely to incur overage charges each month. This service is not handled by cPanel or any similar control panel (but has its own internal tracking system which does not integrate with WHMCS).
So I know I'll need to manually enter the overage data into WHMCS to invoice clients for overage. I'm wondering two things:
How does this tie into the monthly subscription process? If I add the overage charges to each account every month, will WHMCS then generate a proper invoice for the monthly charges (paid in advance) and the previous month's overages? Or do I need to create a separate invoice for that? I'd like to give clients the convenience of one invoice if possible.
Can I still use PayPal recurring (subscription?) billing for this scenario? Or do they have any restrictions that prohibit variable amounts on recurring or subscription billing? I looked through their info but couldn't find anything like this.
Any advice/suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.
