danield
For example now the most a user can pay is biannually. Will v4 have more options?
chickendippers
Nope, biennially is still the max.
RyanH
But with the new billable items feature you can setup recurring cycles of any length of days, months, years
danield
But with the new billable items feature you can setup recurring cycles of any length of days, months, years Awesome! How does that work?
chickendippers
True, but it isn't tied in with products so there's no automation of setup or suspension.
openmind
I'm struggling to think of a situation where you would even want to bill for more than every two years for hosting...
danield
Like for example if a client pays for 4 years up front for shared hosting his monthly paymenti s much cheaper and thats what user prefer.
merlinpa1969
we dont want more years for hosting but would like to offer it for SSL Certificates
host-monkey
Honestly, why would you offer a hosting package for more then two years? I could understand three at the max, if it was a custom quoted solution. But what happens if somethings goes wrong, you'll be having a lot on your plate to handle...
othellotech
Honestly, why would you offer a hosting package for more then two years? two main reasons "hosts" do it ... #1 they've already had the money upfront when client realises the service is utter-pants, but stick with it no matter how dire because its been paid for #2 they dont intend to be around long enough to have to provide the service, so dont care same as all the dedicated server providers that only give the good "monthly equivalent prices" on 3 year pay up front for a heap-o-junk-box scams out there ...
