djpete
Am I correct with this? : Customer places domain order I approve order via WHMCS Order automatically goes to my wholesaler via WHMCS module Once I have paid supplier for the new domain/transfer details are auto updated directly in my WHMCS Its the last part I am not sure on. Should the domain info be auto updated? I mean isn't that the whole reason for using the module? My supplier says to check with you guys here. chickendippers
What details do you want auto-updated exactly? The registration process can be completely automated, required no intervention for you whatsoever. Transfers require a tiny bit of action; changing the status from "pending transfer" to "active", but that's it.
djpete
Well thats what I thought should happen, thanks for reassuring me. I did my first transfer and it didn't work for me. In fact I think the details were deleted but I may be wrong. But the transfer did go through. It was on my reseller account panel but not in WHMCS. I will do another transfer as I want to bring all my domains across to my reseller account. I am using the TPPInternet Module which is supported in WHMCS so I think all should work as you say. I have activated the plugin username pword etc. Set up my domains. Set up .au domains for no charge for transfer. Please let me know if I've missed anything but I think I have done it all right. As far as procedure goes. I just added a new domain and set it to the tpp module and set it to transfer. I will give it another go.
djpete
I think I understand now. I thought that the details would be updated automatically but I dont think they do because its a transfer. You see for Aust domains there is no charge for the transfer. WHMS presumes there is and dates the email accordingly... Here I updated my template to allow for AU transfers... Dear Owner (Company), Thank you for your domain transfer order. Your order has been received and we have now initiated the transfer process. The details of the domain purchase are below: Domain: removed.com.au Registration Length: 2 Year/s Transfer Price: $0.00 AUD Renewal Price: $59.00 AUD Next Due Date: 04/05/2011 incorrect as the domain will continue until it runs out and then the charge is due Note For Australian Domains: Disregard Next Due Date above. This will be updated correctly as soon as your domain transfer has completed. So for AU transfers all I have to do is wait until transfer is complete in my reseller account, grab the correct expiry date and update WHMCS accordingly. I think thats it. But I still dont know if once the domain is moved across whether the module will drag across the domain info eg nameservers company details Aust Business Number etc etc Or will I have to put these in manually? djpete
Is anyone out there using the TppInternet Domain Module. I went through the front end added all the domain info etc for a transfer. Completed went to check out etc then when I go to look at the contact info from the client login area I get a normal page come up but with the word error in small type. Not a page error like a 404. It is typed into WHMCS page. If there is someone out there using this module it would be great if you could let me know if any issues. Thanks,
