Quantity based pricing problems

I am trying to offer support tokens for clients. I have a configurable option set up for quantity and things are working more or less correctly.

My problem is that in order to get it to work correctly, the token price must be set to $0.00.

The price on the orders page is listed at $0.00 and is confusing to customers since the tokens are $50 each. The $50 fee per token must be entered as a setup fee, which is also confusing to clients. They assume that they are paying for a setup fee in addition to the tokens.

Last thing is that on the last page before checkout, it says Free! in the Price field, even though the total in the Total field is correct, i.e. 3 tokens cost $150. Screenshot is attached to illustrate this.

Has anyone found a way to do something like this in a more straightforward way?

Thanks very much.
