Dominic
Just started using the Enom module with Enom Extended, and all the .com domains we've attempted to transfer to our Enom account (with perhaps the exception of 1 or 2) are showing this status: Unable to retrieve current domain contacts from UWhois Enom's help says that in this situation we're supposed to contact them for a manual transfer, but we've never had an issue running transfers through DirectI so this seems a bit suspect. I know for sure one of the domains worked, as only a couple of weeks ago I put it through DirectI (it failed due to client not seeing confirmation email). My question is - has anyone else seen this error, and is there any general reason for it? Thanks!
othellotech
usually means the contact data is one of... * hidden/protected (which needs to be removed) * missing vital information * invalid email address * is garbage and as been flagged by the registry * has not yet been updated by the registry to the master db When it happens you can still transfer, but you'll need to resave the contact infomation afterwards
Dominic
Thanks, will look into it tomorrow as Enom's help says to wait a little longer...
scurrell
It's happened quite a bit to us over the last couple of weeks. Some registrars seem to be blocking Enoms Whois queries for some reason. Once the status changes from "Unable to retrieve current domain contacts from UWhois" to "Transfer in Process - Acquiring Current Whois for Transfer Verification", then you submit an Enom ticket asking them to manually update.
