Dixiesys
I had a client bring up an interesting point in a support request. I thought I would pass them along and give his feedback about how WHMCS handles some addresses: Your system doesn't recognize international addressing. I am unable to enter the correct contact information for registering the domain because the system requires me to enter a State and a Zip Code. These are not applicable in my address. Ho Chi Minh City is legally a City States. There is NO state. And while I could accurately say that there is a Zip Code, Vietnamese (as well as Spain, France and many other countries) have letters and periods (special characters) in the Zip code, but your system won't allow me to enter them. My WhoIS information is important for properly indexing my website and allows for additional positioning in different search engines and business listings. I would really like to have accurate and correct information in my contact details! Is there a way to make it so that whois information passed along to the registrar is a little more friendly to how his address really is?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted February 24, 2009 WHMCS CEO Share Posted February 24, 2009 The state field is required in WHMCS as many domain registrars also require it for a registration to be accepted. If the user doesn't have one they would still need to enter a value - None or N/A would do. The postcode field will accept both letters and numbers.
