risrik
This subject has been dabbled upon but I haven't been able to find a clear answer. Are PayPal subscriptions ever created for addons or must the customer actually pay them each month? I know that addons won't be included with the hosting plan when the customer buys it and that addons will be charged afterwards. But will a subscription be created at some point so that the addon is charged automatically? I noticed that if I have an account already and decided to buy an addon for $5/month, that PayPal charges just a one-time price ($5) with no mention of "$5 Today and then $5 for each month" indicating a subscription. Does that mean that PayPal will never start a subscription for addons and it's up to the customer to manually pay the addon invoice each month?
wizzerd
This is something I also need. I have a client who wishes to have a subscription for an account addon but so far I have been unable to accommodate him. One could possibly create a subscription button in their PayPal account and give the client the link but then you would have to manually enter the payment into WHMCS each month which is undesirable as it could become too much work if there were a few of these setup. It would be nice to be able to set this up with WHMCS the way you can with hosting accounts. I ended up not having addons at all because no subscription could be created I set everything up as a new product that customers can add to their cart. A client may have two invoices in a month, one for hosting and one for their addon, but both are subscriptions and they don't have to do anything else.
