Offline Direct Debit

Currently looking at using WHMCS and wanted to know if a offline direct debit payment option is available for customers to select when making an order which would store there bank details and allow us each month to access these details and charge them manually.

 

I know a direct deposit option is available but we want to automate payment as much as possible so we don't have to wait for cleints to pay there bill.

You could code your own module to grab the DD details you want.. or even generate the DD paperless request.

 

If in the UK at least, you need to present the user with the DD guarantee before they initiate the agreement.

That's an excellent idea, Direct Debit setup billing options with Direct Debit guarantee, and bank account form etc would be nice to be displayed. I'm sure this would be great if WHMCS will have this made, although less than 95% of us would actually use it.

 

To be able to offer Direct Debit as a billing option, your bank must approve of this and also your business account must be making several million. Lloyds TSB does not give Direct Debit features to a business unless it has 2 million squid in the account!

I guess things are different in Australia as smaller companies can apply for this but have to go through a payment solution company which talk to the banks directly.
