Editing viewinvoice.tpl

I am having some trouble getting the EU bit in viewinvoice.tpl to work.

 

I feel the "instructions" on removing the comments to be extremely confusing and not at all easy to follow.

 

What exactly needs to be removed from this line to make it work:

 

{* This code should be uncommented for EU companies using the sequential invoice numbering so that when unpaid it is shown as a proforma invoice {if $status eq "Paid"}*}{$LANG.invoicenumber}{*{else}{$LANG.proformainvoicenumber}{/if}*}{$invoicenum}</title>

 

There are too many *'s and too many {} combinations. No matter what I remove from this line it errors every time. It also dislikes the "eq" at the start.

 

Can someone please repost this line in it's working format.

For future reference to others, the entire line should read:

You had a space added , however this is not working for me PDF works but not viewinvoice.tpl
