Zorro67
Hi all, just been think about some of the various ind associations that you might be member of, and thought a thread to discuss these might be relevant. We are alll trying to add some sort creditability to our site. Some of do it by adding links or references of authority, membership , affiliation, whilst others do it by customer referrals, ratings, comments, testimonials or feedback. So i thought I might start a thread that discusses alternatives. What works, what doesn't, and why? What's good value, whats questionable, whats cr@p.
Zorro67
For ours, we have verified by Paypal (obviously), geotrust , SSL cert, Trust defender, and Webhostingstuff.com. We are also authorised auda resellers, as well as auDa supply side members (any-one have an authorised logo?), and are currently looking at a number of other industry associations. Feel free to add you thoughts, ideas, criticisms (but be appropriate) and constructive comments, about value, alternatives and options.
AndrewMKP
We are verified by PayPal, are a Registered Limited Company (UK) and VAT Registration is in progress for us, these make you as a company credible to the customer. We have a SSL encryption and secure servers with software/hardware firewalls, MaxMind Fraud prevention, these make the customer feel safe with us as a company I have always found that images are better than a paragraph explaining this that and the other, if you have a image to show company credibilty then all the better, some examples are PayPal verified, Maxmind logo etc etc etc
