Change billing cycle, how?

Most of my cusomters have monthly billing cycle, but it can be difficult to login and pay every month, so it would be great if customers would have the chance to change the billing cycle by themself. Ive looked around but i cant see a button for customers to change billing cycle, am i missing something ? otherwise do anyone have a solution ?

Thank you

The only way currently, is if the client upgrades / downgrades their package. This is obviously not feasible, and some folks on the forum feel it should be an option for the clients to change the billing cycle without having to upgrade / downgrade their packages.

We just put an article in our knowledge base stating that clients should open a support ticket to our accounts department to have it changed. The problem with this, is if a client was on annual and want to change to monthly, then our accountants first needs to calculate how much credit the client should get, and them manually add the credit to their account.

All of the functionality exists and works for upgrading & downgrading to any enabled package other than the current package.

This is only due to it not appearing as a selection in the WHMCS config package up/down grade listing.

If it were codded to be selectable, then the math would calculate either an up or down change in the term automatically & pro-rata if enabled.

If it were selectable in the admin, then one could maintain it as it is currently set by not adding it to the allowable list for up/downgrade and those that wanted it could select it.

Why go through all of that? Just leave their next renewal as is, change the cycle and the recurring price. Then they won't be invoiced again until after what they've already paid for and then it will start billing monthly at that point.
