glowgirl
I installed an SSL cert on my domain last week. WHMCS is installed in my public domain and the cert in my private. I'm trying to configure WHMCS to use the SSL, but if I put the secured url in under the general configuration settings, it seems to want to have the whole application running from the same location (e.g., it no longer recognizes calls to the public directory where the application is housed (/billing). Do I have to reinstall the whole app into the new secured directory in order for this feature to work?
bubbasheeko
I would assume you would be correct with this....well it makes sense. Once you have the Secured URL registered WHMCS is going to try to use it for all page calls.
goddess_dix
the cert needs to be installed for the domain you'll be running whmcs from. some pages will be called via standard connection, while others, like the client info section, will automatically switch to your secure connection (i.e. https://). it doesn't use it for all page calls, just the sensitve areas. and make sure your images included in your WHMCS content have relative paths (i.e. not the full http:// blah blah) to avoid the mix of secure and insecure content area messages in the browser.
