Integrate Google Checkout with WHMCS

Hey there,

I've been trying to integrate google checkout with WHMCS. On the WHMCS payment setup page, it says to enter into google "/modules/gateways/callback/googlecheckout.php" yet google asks for a "https" site. I type in my website url as a https but obviously that isn't working....

I looked on the google checkout site for 3rd party carts, but WHMCS isn't listed. Any basic "noob" help on setting up google checkout with WHMCS?

Thanks, help is greatly appreciated.

Hi chuckers240,

Welcome to the forum.

Now I am most likely incorrect with a small chance of being right....but if Google wants a SSL url then I would have to assume you would need to get a SSL certificate to satisfy Google's needs. Like I said I may be wrong here and there may be another way, but I am going with my gut on this one.

Thanks for the welcome. And you're probably right about the SSL. Any chance on helping me set up an SSL via Cpanel? I'm totally new to this -.-

You will need to get an SSL cert and link this to your main domain to be able to use google Checkout, you have 2 options

purchase one from verisign or someone like that and these can range from 10 USD to 200 USD or if you have a nemchesp account you can register a domain with them and you will get a FREE comodo poitive SSL cert. that you can use with any domain even if this is not listed or registered with namecheap.

but you will also need a dedicated IP for the domain you are going to set the SSL too.

  • 2 weeks later...

Also, depending on the levels the reseller company gives you...you may have to contact them to install it.

In addition to easyhost, Comodo is pretty good to resellers. If you have a sale or if you have loaded your Comodo reseller account with funds you could get a free SSL cert for your site.
