Resellerclub Domains / Accounts

Question

Hi,

I have a question in regards to Domain Registration / Transfer service using Resellerclub.

Using resellerclub, my clients have to register a new account in order to book domains.

So, if 'A' has an account with username a@a.com and books domain abc.com, this will show in his domain management console and in my resellerclub control also.

But, if I use WHMCS. My clients register an account with WHMCS at my server and books the domain, then at the same time is there a new user account being created with the same username / password at resellerclub also? If not then in my Resellerclub control where will I be able to see the newly booked domain? In whose ownership will the domain be? And what about the registrant, administrative and billing contact details? How will those be managed by the customer / end user?

Hi,

Essentially all the domains are in one account - which is a an account below your main account at Directi. Your clients still have all their details on each domain, but they will control the domain via WHMCS rather than at Directi. They would have no login to Directi.

Of course you can still run a shop window at Directi if you wish

Thanks for the reply.

Can I also know how many functions can be called from WHMCS for domains registered with DirectI. What features are available alongwith ability to change nameservers.

Can we lock / unlock the domains, add managed dns as an addon product, make it private registered, etc.?

Are all functions available? If not, then which ones are available and which are in planning?

Thanks,

A list of which module supports which function can be found here: http://wiki.whmcs.com/Domain_Registrars

If you use the "DirectI" module all users will be created under a single customer account and can only be managed through WHMCS with the features indicated in the documentation. If you use the "ResellerClub" module then each customer will receive an individual customer account and can login to ResellerClub to take advantage of all features.
