Matt Wade
I officially switched to whmcs last night. I'm pleased with the transition, but did have one major problem and I wanted to post about it so that I might help someone else avoid it in the future. I switched from Modernbill v4. I had many packages in Modernbill that I had marked as suspended, and they were really canceled packages. In Modernbill, new invoices are not generated for suspended packages. When whmcs ran it's cron early this morning, it decided to create new invoices for all my suspended packages and attempt to bill, and in many cases successfully bill, the canceled clients. As you can imagine, I've had a bit of a mess to clean up today. Thank goodness for being able to void transactions before they post! Anyway, here's a tip. Before you migrate to whmcs from modernill, make sure to mark any suspended packages as canceled, unless you want them to bill!
minadreapta
suspended = invoice not paid, hosting account suspended cancelled = invoice will not be generated, hosting deleted
