Watersweb
Is it possible for a client to order a recurring service in WHMCS and pay by credit card without having their card automatically charged on the next due date? For example, a client signs up for a hosting account and wants to pay using her credit card. But she doesn't want to be automatically billed the next month, preferring to login, review the account and then make the payment manually. Is this possible?
TDub
I've had a BIG problem with this. Many customers understandably do not wish to store their credit card details but still wish to make a one-time credit card payment. Because of the way WHM apparently stores the credit card whenever someone enters a credit card number I've been accused of lying because I've told the customer their credit card information was cleared, then when they made the next payment it stored their card info again and they get automatically charged. I would greatly appreciate if you'd add a checkbox option to store the credit card details or not when they make a manual payment versus automatically assuming they wish to do so. Then, the customer can make a one-time payment without their info being stored. And I won't get accused of providing false information to my customers. Perhaps this should be moved to suggestions?

I solved this problem temporarily by changing the name of the gateway. I went to Configuration --> Payment Gateways and changed the name of Authorize.net to Automated Credit Card Payment. This way, when people select this option on the invoice or order form, they will know that they are setting up automatic billing. At least, they can't claim I didn't tell them. But I would still like to add an option for a Single Credit Card Payment, or a checkbox/radio buttons to setup automated billing or make a single CC payment.
TDub
Anyone know if something has been added to v4 to accommodate this? I still need the ability to allow manual credit card payments without storing card information. Is the offline payment option for this? Looks like when I enable it and the customer goes to pay the invoice and chooses the offline method, it provides him with a credit card area to make the payment. By making the payment, do the card details get stored again? Edited April 28, 2009 by TDub
mediademon
Non CA (Continuous Authority) cards such as Maestro or Solo cards cannot be auto billed through ProtX (or any other provider I think) so we've not included them as accepted cards. Would be great however to be able to take single payments using them!
