WHM/Cpanel

Before I purchase your software I have a question which I can not seem to find an answer for - hence I am posting here.

 

Does WHM and Cpanel come integrated?

What I want is for my customers to select a package, pay for their hosting, then have an account set up for them which gives them ftp + cpanel access to their accounts. As well as a separate client billing section.

 

Does this software offer this kind of solution?

WHM/cPanel are server software products developed by http://www.cpanel.net. WHM is the backend of the cPanel software.

 

WHMCS is a billing/support system and while it does have modules that connect to the cPanel software, under normal circumstances it would not come bundled with the software (unless you were using a reseller who offered such a package).

 

WHMCS will offer the solution of setting up the account in cPanel and providing login information etc, this is what most of the hosting companies here in the forums are doing.

The last two paragraphs seemed a little contradictory, so just to clarify:

WHMCS, once installed will do the following for me:

Allow a client to select a hosting package

Pay for the package

The software sets up ftp/cpanel access for the client once paid

WHMCS is the billing side. Once hosting is purchased, WHMCS will set up the hosting account on a cPanel server. WHMCS and cPanel are separate products. WHMCS also works with other server with other control panels installed.

the short answer is yes. whmcs will set up the cpanel account and all associated features, and email the details to the user.

 

 

the only catch being you have to have cpanel already on the server but im sure you already know that
