Stax
Greetz, I'm having an issue getting a domain transfered into my resellerclub account (this is the first transfer I've done, all the fresh registrations have worked fine.) I had a family member sign up for an account with me in order to transfer their domain to my new reseller account. There is money in my reseller account to pay for the transfer...so I know that isn't the issue. Everything seemed to go fine during the order, the hosting account is set up correctly and everything shows it was paid. The only issue is that the domain transfer doesn't seem to have gone through. I can see the new customer in my reseller account, but it doesn't list a domain under him. I also received an email from resellerzoom (included below) The order placed for xxxxxxxxxx.com has received its first payment and has been automatically submitted to the registrar Client ID: xx Domain: xxxxxxxxxx.com Error: Domain Registration Error - Domain Secret should be 6 to32 characters long I never saw a spot during the order process that asked to set a domain secret... so I guess my main question is...would anyone mind doing a step-by-step on how a new customer signup requesting a transfer should go? On my end...and theirs? (anything they need to do with their old registrar, etc...as well as where this Domain Secret is input at?)
chickendippers
Did you tick the EPP code box for .com's in Configuration > Domain Pricing? Otherwise the order form won't ask for the EEP code (AKA domain secret) during the order process.
Stax
I wasn't sure which ones to check the EPP's in. Is it only .coms? or other domains as well? I'm new to messing with domains so not entirely sure all the settings to make sure are correct. But no, didn't have it checked for .coms. What all do I need to do to fix it? Just check it and hit the 'transfer' button in the domain part of the account in question again?
chickendippers
http://spamtrackers.eu/wiki/index.php?title=EPP_domain The customer will need to place the order again to enter the EPP code...or you could save time by manually doing it yourself through ResellerClub.
netearth
Here is a thread that tells you which domains need EPP and which ones support Privacy Protect : http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=13390&highlight=netearth

Do I need to delete the order for the domain and have him do it again? What is the EPP Code? Something that is auto sent to him? or just a secret code he enters when he orders the transfer? (he's transfering it from godaddy, not another resellerclub account)
chickendippers
Yes, I'd recommend cancelling the order (probably better than deleting it, I've heard auditors get picky about missing invoices) and having the customer do it again. I'd recommend you read the Resellerclub documentation as that explains about EPP codes.

I get the same error when trying to transfer a domain: Error: Domain Registration Error - Domain Secret should be 6 to32 characters long driving me nuts!
