Ehsan
Hi there i am new to selling domains via whmcs and wanted to know few things what will best work with whmcs , enom or resellerclub , i have got a sub reseller under a reseller of (resellerclub) so what i want to do know is if someone registers a domain with my site and whmcs registers it via the reseller , can the customers manage there domain via whmcs ? like change Nameservers etc without actually letting them access the resellerclub. also when i activate a domain registrar there is an option to enable demo mode what does this demo mode do ?
netearth
Hi Ehsan, Either will work, eNom is better supported at the moment by WHMCS as in it has more features etc. Yes the customer can use WHMCS to manage the nameservers etc, also make sure you have turned off the email to customer in RC, Settings >> Mail >> Do NOT send any emails to my customers <<< Tick that box. Demo mode allows you to demo whmcs in a demo mode with the registrar, so you can test it without spending money, the domains on the demo platform (orderbox RC). Nothing is registered with the registries, and all orders on the demo registrar platform are deleted within 24 hours Chris

chickendippers
Well you'll need to provide more than "it doesn't work" before anyone can even begin to start suggesting a fix.
netearth
OK, if you tried it in Demo mode, and it isnt working, did you setup a demo account at the onlyfordemo site? If not, take a read of this : http://manage.netearthone.com/kb/servlet/KBServlet/faq415.html the overall workings are the same. But with demo enabled nothing gets registered, it just allows you to test whmcs and the communication to the platform. You put the new demo information in the RC module, do your tests etc, then once fully happy, you can then turn off demo mode and put your live RC credentials in. Chris Hey Chris, I have followed this guide for the test, and everything seems to be ok, but when I try to set the name servers that I use, it gave me an erro saying something like: ns1.mysite.com is not a valid nameserver So I used ns1.test.com, but now I am trying to change it to mine, and it gives: java.lang.Boolean. Any ideas what I did wrong?
netearth
Well it could be that they do not exist... Try setting it to nameservers that actually exist? Other than that, WHMCS may be able to assist if you are using their offer.
easyhosting
why be a sub reseller, log onto your WHMCS client area and you will find out that you can register as a full reseller with enom and/or resellerclub FOC
netearth
why be a sub reseller, log onto your WHMCS client area and you will find out that you can register as a full reseller with enom and/or resellerclub FOC I don't know about eNom, but I am sure the RC accounts that WHMCS offers are under them, and not direct with RC. To confirm this, the ParentID would be 1 if it were direct with RC. Chris
