Is it possible to charge a transation charge per processor?

Eg, my clients pay by bank transfer or cheque. If they wish to pay by Paypal I wish them to pay the processing costs involved...

I don't think there's a way round it?

Thats a quick way to get your paypal account closed - its against their T&C's to charge people extra to use the gateway.

Well that's interesting.

I don't/haven't used PayPal to receive transactions, so forgive my ignorance. What's the difference of doing this compared to what WHMCS does when you add funds to a reseller club reseller account through them? The only payment option was PayPal, I added $100 but my balance but was only credited $97.80 because they deducted the $2.20 for PayPal fees from my payment.

Is it because even though I made a purchase of $100, I wasn't charged an additional 1.85% plus the $0.35? Is the difference here that I was charged a total of $100 instead of $102.20?

There is a difference between an account processing fee like some charge for all payments and a special fee for one payment type. You can give discounts for certain payment types but PayPal and credit cards both have terms against charging fees for their use.

You could require that users pay for multiple months up front if they want to pay with PayPal, I don't believe I've seen anything in their terms preventing that.
