Blueberry3.14
After trying WHMAuto Pilot, Lpanel, AWBS and looking over Ubersmith and Modern Bill...I'd just about given up on ever finding a Billing system/Client Management system that works, looks good, AND is relatively easy to both configure and integrate into an existing site. Oh and....it's helpful if the script WORKS too. *smirk* You've done an AWESOME job here, and there's much to WHMCS I haven't explored yet. My only request, and I see it was addressed last May (without a very good reception), would be to clean up the CSS. If it wasn't for the encoding, I'd just do it myself. I'm a developer first, the hosting portion of my business is only a sideline. This means my business website is a "living example" of my work. In May when this issue was broached, the response back was that the next version would incorporate Smarty. Was this done? (I know Smarty are templates, that's about it). Beyond the pages validating, there *is* a concern if the pages will display as intended in some browsers, now and in the future. The CSS rules that aren't being followed aren't minor ones. On the "viewinvoice.php" the ID selector id="invoiceitemsheading" is used 12 times. An "id" is allowed once on a page. If it's needed more than once, "class" is used. The thing is, I LOVE what I see so far, and I want to settle in for a nice long relationship with WHMCS. I'm tired of "playing the billing system field", I'm ready to settle down with WHMCS! I am hoping you'll consider cleaning up the code. It's not a deal-breaker, but it would be helpful. I doubt any client is going to run a page like the "viewinvoice.php" through the validator, but the part of the script that gets incorporated into the main part of the site...may be different. But again, overall, I am unbelievably amazed at the quality of WHMCS. Where have you been all my life???? I'm spreading the word as much as I can (blogging it, etc).
MACscr
smarty is used, so you do have access to about 98% of the client frontend markup. I have been able to make a whmcs template that is xhtml 1.1 (i only did transitional) compliant.
Blueberry3.14
smarty is used, so you do have access to about 98% of the client frontend markup. I have been able to make a whmcs template that is xhtml 1.1 (i only did transitional) compliant. Really? Awesome! OK, is it in the templates section then? I've only yet begun with WHMCS. So that's "Smarty" CSS I'm seeing? Epppppppp! I know WHMCS must be highly "integratable", since I've looked at a few in the showcase where other users post their sites, and saw some really NICELY DONE ordering areas. In just a few days I've made more progress with WHMCS than I *ever* did with WHMAP or AWBS, and I had AP for almost a year. I got the back-end set up and working fine, but setting up the front-end, just wasn't happening. WHMCS just looks too good to be true. And I only use transitional as well in DOCTYPES. Trying to use strict typically makes for a very boring site and a lot of headaches, neither of which I'd want Thanks for the reply!
