simplehelix
hello i don't know what the problem is but after customer places his "cancellation" request, the customer is continued to be billed every month. and on top of that, it looks like all the product add-ons (like dedicated IP) in that hosting package are not cancelled when that hosting package is cancelled, shouldn't all the add-ons be cancelled too by the system? this happens to both paypal/cc i understand paypal can be cancelled via login to paypal site to cancel subscriptions but, this is not really a way to automate cancellations. i don't know if i am overlooking something, does everyone have to perform the cancellations all manually?
chickendippers
PayPal subscriptions must be cancelled via the PayPal website - PayPal API doesn't have a cancel subscription function. You could put a message in the cancellation email instructing them to cancel their own subscription.
nhouck
I'm pretty sure that the Paypal API can be used to cancel the subscription from the WHMCS side, but they have not implemented that. Considering how many people use Paypal, I can't believe this option is not already implemented. It is a real headache having to refund payments from people who already canceled their service, but didn't know they have to cancel the subscription manually also. I have used another service in the past (UbiquityHosting.com) who provides this function through their control panel (UberSmith).
Nimitz1061
Considering the amount of time it takes to get any API implementation relatively bullet proof and the number of API's there are to implment, I'm surprised that you are surprised.
