TDub
Is WHMCS supposed to credit back any remaining amount left on a plan if a customer cancels during their plan period? Or do we have to do figure that out manually? Case in point...I had a customer cancel their monthly hosting on the 10th of the month. They already paid for their plan from the 1st to the 31st. So, they're due a credit for 20 days worth of unused hosting. They selected the immediate cancellation from their account, and the cron correctly ran and canceled the account (also terminating it from the hosting control panel as it was told to do). So the account is now canceled, the customers plan deleted, but they still haven't been paid the 20 days worth. Am I missing something or is that functionality just not there?
handsonwebhosting
I don't believe that function is in there. For us, fees are non refundable for the month in questions. Invoices sent 10 days prior to the end of the month, the account charged on the 1st (with the 5th being LATE and suspended). If they then cancel on the 10th, then that month (October) is cancelled, but no refund issued.
TDub
Yeah, that's what I thought. Kind of a pain. It's great that there is pro-rata billing, but pro-rata cancellations are pretty important too!
handsonwebhosting
You could maybe setup a $0.01 package, and then downgrade the hosting package to a "Cancel Package" which costs $0.01. That would prorate into the credit system and then refund through there?
TDub
Hmm, not a bad idea. Hadn't thought of that but might give it a try. Thanks!
