SindreM
I just noticed a strange behaviour. One of my clients' invoices were overdue. I use PayPal subscriptions and have disabled the "One off" payment button once a subscription can be created option. When the client today paid the invoice, two things happend: 1. A subscription was NOT created. Only a one time payment was made. 2. The hosting account associated with this client was NOT automatically created through the WHM module. The Invoice have now status PAID so obviously the IPN callback was received from PayPal. I usually have no problems with the WHM module commands and subscriptions. Accounts are usually set up as soon as the payment is received. Can someone confirm if this is due to the fact that the invoice was overdue? If so, is there a reason why it should be like this?
chickendippers
Subscriptions are only created on or before the due date. After the due date the customer can only make a one off payment. If they created a subscription after the due date it would be overdue every month
risrik
I just encountered this problem as well and wasn't sure at first why no subscription was created. I think this problem is more dependent on PayPal because they will recur charges only each month. It's not possible to have the customer pay an overdue invoice (say 2 weeks late) and PayPal start a monthly recurring subscription because WHMCS would want another payment in two weeks (the next recurring amount) and as chickendippers said, it would be overude each month. So, WHMCS says, "Charge for the rest of this billing period as a one-time payment and then start a new subscription that can be synced with PayPal's monthly subscription period the next time."
