Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir 'templates_c/' does not exist.....

Hi all,

 

Just upgraded to 3.7.2 and when I go to the admin home section I get the following error

 

Fatal error: Smarty error: the $compile_dir 'templates_c/' does not exist, or is not a directory. in /whmcs/libs/Smarty.class.php on line 1095

 

This is only in the Admin Home section as far as I can tell, everything else seems to be working properly.

 

Any ideas where the problem lies?

I am getting that same error in admin, after upgrading to 3.8. Did you ever learn of a solution to this error, Jim?

Nevermind, I found the solution. To anyone else who experiences this problem, it's probably because you have your WHMCS installed in a subdirectory. You will need to edit the /configuration.php file to point to the full directory path.

im having the same problems but mine is on the domain root

I had the same problem untill i used absolute path to the templates dir in configuration.php the whole line starting from /var/www/vhosts/... etc.
