SindreM
I am currently moving my client base to WHMCS and a lot of these have active PayPal subscriptions. I'm hoping to avoid that these users will have to sign up again for new subscriptions. Is it possible to import the PayPal subscriptions in WHMCS and "attach" it to the respective clients in some way? I noticed a Subscription ID field on the Products/Services tab of the client page. I am guessing I will have to put in the correct PayPal subscription ID in this field, but I could need some more information on how this is handled. Will the correct amount, billing cycle and due date be updated to reflect the subscription? Any advice will be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Sindre
chickendippers
You'll need to contact support who can provide you with a PayPal IPN redirect script; others have reported success with this script, but we decided to be on the safe side and ask all our PayPal customers to recreate their subscription (it's also a handy time to try and wean them away onto a better payment gateway). You'll need to manually input all the subscription IDs into WHMCS, as to the best of my knowledge there's no automatic importer.
gobbly2100
I had the same issue when I was moving to WHMCS, I really tried not to affect my clients by asking them to setup new subscriptions but in the end that is what I had to do. Nobody actually complained though thankfully which was great. Would have been nice to just have some kind of import script and such but there was nothing about when I moved to WHMCS 6 months ago or so.
