MultiHosts
Hello. Asking on behalf of a friend, is there a way you can set up an account, so that it cannot be cancelled until a certain ammount of time has passed? For example, you are held to a contract, and cannot cancel until 2 months after you ordered? Thanks, he will be greatful for any help.
urevised
Well effectivley if they sign up to a contract they cannot actually cancel until that contract is up. What you could do is specify if the contract is cancelled then the remaining balance has to be paid off. This works very well with a lot of phone companies. You could just raise the invoice for that amount once they cancel manually. I don't know of any way of actually stopping them from placing a cancellation request. Hope this helps.
MultiHosts
Thanks for your responce. I wonder if this could be made into a MOD. Or maybe a feature of WHMCS in the near future.
othellotech
I don't know of any way of actually stopping them from placing a cancellation request. Its as simple as putting an IF in the .tpl There are some porducts which we dont allow te client to initiate the cancellation for directly through the Client Area - we just removed the button
