Migrating from RODAPI possible?

jim

Question

Hi All...

I recently acquired a small colocation company and they have been using a billing product called RODAPI. They use this because it integrates tightly with a package called Modus Mail, which they also use.

RODAPI is completely Windows based and requires MS W2003 and MS SQL Server. I am looking for a Linux based product I can use with PostgreSQL or, less preferred, mySQL. I looked but didn't see a list of supported platforms / system requirements. Can someone please point me to that?

Also, is it possible to import data from RODAPI into this system? I see there are scripts to import data from other systems, but I didn't see one for RODAPI. There is a lot of history there I would like to maintain if possible.

Finally, I see that this system supports many systems I need to support, including CPanel and Plesk. I would also like to support OpenVZ and the Modus Mail system. Are these supported?

Is there a good, powerful API that will let me write code to support systems which are not supported?

Can this system be tightly integrated with another web site, so it looks completely seamless, with no WHMCS branding, so I can brand it myself?

That's enough for now, thank you!

Jim

congrats :)

If you can extract it from the existing DB then it can be imported into the WHMCS db, but there are no pre-existing tools to do so, contacting whmcs for a quote on a custom import would be the simplest solution...

openvz I think is covered if you also use hypervm, personally i'd like to see native xen vps support, you could always write your own module, same with MM

its called PHP, whether you think its powerful is a bigger debate than this forum can cope with ;)
