ethical
I have decided to give up on enom, their support is horrible and slow and frankly their prices are out of line when compared to netearthone or reseller club given their poor support. my question is which of the 2 should i go with? they appear to be basically the same, and offer all the same services, is netearthone a reseller of resllerclub?? I will stay with enom for the $10 SSL certificates, thought, can't beat that really. thanks for the feedback.
othellotech
Contact with a registry is important IME, far more so than the price of the domain. They "look" similar as I believe they're both using the Directi LogicBox software. I'm suprised about your enom comments, we've been an ETP for many years, and always found the support first-class, on the very few occasions it has been needed, I do understand that sub accounts or sub-sub-sub-sub accounts are treated differently as they expect you to have gne through your upstream first ... However, now you are going to move, you have to remember that the domain is one of the most fundamental things about the internet ... So which of the two you're looking at hangs around the forums being part of the community ? That would answer the question for me
ethical
nope just checking what others on theis forum which seems to use both think, not basing my decision on it. also searching on wht and posting there and emailing all the companies (enom included) that is funny because when i contact hostgator about a problem they tell me to contact enom directly. do they use lesser quality support reps for the sub resellers? also checking out opensrs too thx

ethical
and thats my point, that is no way to do business. I treat all my customers with the same level of service and support regardless of if they are paying me $5/mo or $25/mo. and i don't pay hostgator for the domains, I pay enom so i dont epect hostgator to support the domain questions, and since I get crap support from enom, I want to move on, but also want to choose a quality shop. I am also trying to get them to see move me to my own reseller account, but so far been waiting 3 days for a response to that request after talking on the phone with someone. thanks for your input, anyway i was asking for opinions on the 2 registrars i mentioned, so if anyone else has some input it would be appreciated. I agree price is not the only thing but all i've seen from enom is poor support, so why would i pay more for that? I agree they are established and provide a solid product, but i need more than that. I do like opensrs as well and know they have a quality system, but again they take so long to respond it makes you wonder if they want business?? On the plus side I have gotten very helpful and intelligent responses from Chris at netearthone in a timely fashion too. I've also read some horror stories on WHT about reseller club so looking like i wont go with them. thanks to anyone else that has some positive feedback. cheers john
chickendippers
We use the DirectI reseller RoverNIC as they were able to quote us a better price than the standard DirectI slabs. I've also found their support to be absolutely top-notch.
ethical
thanks chicken, how long have you been with them? does their control panel have to show the hosting and other options in it?
netearth
Hi John, Remember you can disable whatever you don't want, this is a feature of any DI/RC sub reseller, and same for us. Regards, Chris
chickendippers
thanks chicken, how long have you been with them? does their control panel have to show the hosting and other options in it?The RoverNIC control panel is exactly the same as if bought direct from Reseller Club, WHMCS or any other DirectI reseller.

ethical
thanks everyone. I am going with Netearthone, Chris has been fantastic answering questions and is sooo much more responsive than opensrs or enom (...still waiting for a reply from enom, wonder if they ever will?) control panel is a bit more cumbersome bit once you get used to it, its not a big issue.
Lethanialist
NetEarth uses the same control panel as DirectI but I love their support. The internet chat isn't 24/7 but I imagine that if I call their support phone line (there's a UK number and a US number) I'd get a response relatively quickly. The biggest determination for me was the fact that DirectI is outsourced somewhere, and they were VERY clearly reading off scripts rather than conversing with me. When I talk to NetEarth I get a real person who answers my questions rather than giving cookie-cutter responses. I had problems with WHMCS integration to NetEarth, talked to them, and they had beta modules emailed to me to fix my issues. I customized my WHMCS for security and told them what I did and what issue I had, and they released beta modules to fix it. I really love their service for this. Looks like you're already going with them, but this serves just as well for anyone else who searches netearthone.
mistermartin75
I have to agree that NEO is fantastic. Their support is great, they have had a grea promotion (which could promote you to the next slab). It's really good! NetEarthOne is an ICANN accredited registrar, I believe RoverNIC is not. prozacpups
Hey Lethanialist, their Support has bettered over time. Its just that they have a slight issue with language at times which is okay because at the end of it, they may take a little longer, but they end up resolving my issue over a relatively lesser period of time. So Im happy coz they do know what they'r talking about. If anything, why dont you try going up on Sales Chat on their website and ask for your Account Manager. That is what I generally do...
