looking for development tracking software similar to the software used on this site

Can anyone recommend development tracking software so that we can track issues and give staff a login to update issues etc.

 

This would not be for public viewing - so anything that is better thana word document would be good and if it is free / cheap even better

Not a free program but TeamScope gets great reviews - integrated with Outlook.

 

Are you looking to integrate with anything, or are you looking for a stand alone program?

 

BaseCamp is another popular program for tracking projects and allowing customers to open tickets for issues etc.

it will purely be an internal site/script for half a dozen people to use within a company.

 

I am not sure what Matt uses here - but that sort of thing looks ideal if it allows users to go into a ticket/issue etc., and read updates and assign ownership etc.

Are you looking for a bug tracker then more than content managment/project management?

 

May want to run a google search for "bug tracker" as there's a number of them out there. i've used a few in the past with various programs I've released, but none of them worthy of mentioning
