ee99ee
We are running WHMCS and trying to set it up to provision VPSs via HyperVM. Currently I have all the parameters set and it creates the VM -- sort of. 1) It doesn't create a new client in HyperVM. Is it supposed to? If not, how does the client login to manage their VPS? 2) When the VPS is "created", it's off, disabled, marked for deletion and never actually created on the VPS server. Additionally, although it assigns the right OS template the package apparently isn't set right because all the disk space and transfer settings are at 0. What am I doing wrong? A few notes: 1) In WHMCS, for the "Plan Name" I am using the "Resource Name" in HyperVM -- not the "Internal Name" in HyperVM. Is this right? 2) For the "server" I am using the server where the package should be provisioned. I am setting the "Default Install Server" to the HyperVM server. Is this right? Or should the "server" be the IP address of the HyperVM server? 3) It's worth noting I CAN create VPSes manually within HyperVM, so I know it works at least. Please advise. Thank you! -Chris
markb1439
Hmm, I don't even get as far as you do. Could also use help.
markb1439
I have gotten some results by experimenting with the different settings. You're right about the plan name. I don't think it's meant to create a client in HyperVM. What you need to do is add a custom field to the WHMCS order form for that product that gives users the ability to enter their desired username. Then, you make sure that WHMCS is set to send the welcome e-mail. In your template you'll need to list the login URL for all HyperVM customers. The welcome mail will also include the username and password, so customers will have the info to login to the HyperVM control panel. From the control panel they can get their IP for SSH logins. I don't know if any way to get the system to e-mail the IP address to the customer. Hope this helps. Mark
