Speedy059
I was just curious to know how well Kayako can integrate into WHMCS? Do clients have to resign up for an account to submit tickets with Kayako or does it integrate with WHMCS database? I was just curious to know how well it works?

Speedy059
I like all that Kayako offers and find that it would be a good move to take if it can be integrated well. It's just my fear to have to make everyone sign up for ANOTHER account to use the Kayako system.
rodeoXtreme
Speedy, We have been using the WHMCS and Kayako integration for some time now (Kayako ver. 3.20 and WHMCS ver. 3.61) and it is working great; when our clients log into their Client Portal and click on Submit Ticket; their information is sent with the Ticket; they can see the responses from our Support Team and can reply. The client can also reply to the Ticket via email and it logs everything correctly. We are a satisfied user of both systems. Speedy059
RodeoXtreme, Do your clients have to resign up to use the Kayako support system? Or is there a way to integrate the same user information from WHMCS to Kayako? I would hate to add something like this if they will have to resign up with Kayako to use the support system. I hope to get a reply from you, thanks a lot.
jnet
I need both of them. Whmcs and kayako. so right now clients have to sign up in both places.
rodeoXtreme
We have integrated WHMCS and Kayako; our clients do not use the Kayako pages for support, KB's or announcements; these are within WHMCS' integration. No, our Clients do not have to sign up at both places since they do not have access to the Kayako Pages; just WHMCS. Regards,
Speedy059
hmmm...I guess I was confused on what you meant. I thought maybe you integrated the Kayako into WHMCS so your clients can use it for support and use WHMCS for billing.

No reason to send your clients to two locations.
Speedy059
Is it pretty easy to do this or does this involve higher some PHP scripters?
Speedy059
Oops...previous post didn't make sense. How easy would it be to integrate the Kayako into WHMCS so it shares the same user database so people wont have to sign up twice between the two? To do this would it involve hiring a php programer or is there a module put out by WHMCS?
efisher
Oops...previous post didn't make sense. How easy would it be to integrate the Kayako into WHMCS so it shares the same user database so people wont have to sign up twice between the two? To do this would it involve hiring a php programer or is there a module put out by WHMCS? We just acquired the module below and it works perfectly. Not coding required and it sounds like it does everything you are looking for. http://www.explovision.net/ <-- Link to WHMCS loginshare module From the author: The LoginShare module will share your clients' WHMCS (WHMCompleteSolution) login with your Kayako installation. Here's how it works: When a client logs in on Kayako with his WHMCS email address and password, Kayako will simply process the login so that the client can submit/read tickets, etc. Also, Kayako will automatically login the client in WHMCS! If he uses a non-WHMCS email address and password to login, Kayako will simply check its own database to perform a regular login. The other way around works too: When the client logs in on WHMCS, he'll automatically be logged in on Kayako because our module makes Kayako check for WHMCS session data. This LoginShare module works the same when it comes to logging out. The client only has to logout on either WHMCS or Kayako, and he'll be logged out on both automatically. This guarantees a FULL login synchronization/integration between WHMCS and Kayako. Your clients will see your WHMCS and Kayako installation as one single software package. All this happens in one single Kayako LoginShare module. There are no other modifications required. Simply install, configure and load the LoginShare module and you'll be up and running. It was the best spent $8. It works perfectly as advertised. With this module, we've been able to achieve full WHMCS/Kayako integration. It works very simply and the whole integration can be done in less than 5 minutes by even the most novice administrator.

I was expecting to pay a few hundred dollars to get Kayako integrated into WHMCS, and this module from explovision.net is only $5 ($15 for installation)! Thanks a lot for your find efisher.

Does it work properly if the user changes their email address (ie does it update Kayako too?)

Adam :: Envise
Yes, because Kayako is inside WHMCS.
Speedy059
Then is there any advantage to use what 'efisher' suggested from http://www.explovision.net/ ? Why would they charge for something when it's free? Curious if there are extra integrated features?
efisher
Then is there any advantage to use what 'efisher' suggested from http://www.explovision.net/ ? Why would they charge for something when it's free? Curious if there are extra integrated features? What I found that it did versus the built-in module was that it will also still use the built-in Kayako authentication as a fall-back. From what I understand (please correct me if I'm wrong) the built-in module switches Kayako's authentication module to use only WHMCS for logins. The module from these guys will revert back to the internal authentication if it can't find a user in WHMCS. For us this was a must as we don't have every Kayako user in WHMCS, nor for business reasons do we want to. I hope this is helpful. -Eric
Explovision
Does it work properly if the user changes their email address (ie does it update Kayako too?) Yes, that works fine! Then is there any advantage to use what 'efisher' suggested from http://www.explovision.net/ ? Why would they charge for something when it's free? Curious if there are extra integrated features? To be honest I don't have experience with the in-built Kayako integration. Our product makes it possible for you to use both Kayako as well as WHMCS seperately (ie: use the full power of both products) but your clients only have to log in once. Our module also works the other way around (unlike most loginshare modules): If your client logs in to WHMCS, he'll automatically be logged in to Kayako. We started developing this product before the in-built integration was finished which is another reason why it's currently on the market. I would also like to note that our module is donation-ware. We charge a small amount yes, but we donate all that money to http://www.savethemanatee.org. This way it's also possible to use Kayako for pre-sales departments, etc.

Speedy059
I got the Kayako+Add-On's today so I'll probably be installing it sometime this week. Will probably have to do an all nighter so it doesn't affect to many of my clients.
