dordal
Folks- Been testing the contacts feature, introduced in 3.5 (even though I'm on 3.6.2, yes I know I'm slow). Just wanted to confirm my understanding of how this works: - The master account owner (only) can add additional contacts - The contacts can receive certain types of email (e.g. support tickets, invoices, etc.) - If a contact emails in a support request, the ticket is linked automatically to the account. (what happens if a single contact email is listed in two different accounts?) - BUT: the contacts themselves cannot login to the Client Area at all. Correct? chickendippers
That is correct. I've no idea on point 3.
SilverNodashi
I'd be curious to know about these questions as well. Let's say John (poor John...) is a hosting client, but a web developer as well, so he wants to take care of Sally's stuff - but Sally needs her own account, so Sally (or us) adds John as a second contact. How does John communicate?
brianoz
On point 3, if the contact is also an account owner email, the ticket gets randomly assigned as far as I can tell. This leads to the embarrassing situation where the a ticket can get accidentally assigned to a reseller. I'm not sure what the right fix is for this, will leave that to Matt and crew ...
