hostricity
I want to move existing customers from the DirectI module to the Reseller Club module so that they will have their own domain account. How do I do that? ALSO: If the customer goes directly to the Reseller Club site, purchases another domain, renews their domain or adds funds to their account, will WHMCS recognize that? Basically, I'm wondering about how to manage the Reseller Club accounts through WHMCS when the customer uses the Reseller Club interface. To put it another way: What can the customer do through the Reseller Club account that will be picked up by WHMCS? What can the customer do through the Reseller Club acount that will not be picked up by WHMCS? Do we need to turn off the email notifications in Reseller Club so that the customer only receives notifications from WHMCS? What can the customer do through the Reseller Club account that could mess up WHMCS? My thought is that we want the customer working directly through WHMCS, but that they may need access to the Reseller Club account to set domain forwarding, etc. - Or, if they want DNS Management or email forwarding. What happens if the customer goes into their reseller club account and makes their domain registration private? Will WHMCS still recognize the domain as part of that customer's WHMCS account? IT MAY BE that we would want the customer to use WHMCS only, but that we would use the Reseller Club interface to setup email forwarding or private registration for them. I'd be most appreciative if anyone posted any other consdierations in addition to those mentioned above.
netearth
Hostricity, Dont allow the end users to use the RC/Directi CP. disable the email (Customer). The whole point really of WHMCS is a one stop place for your customer. If a user does anything on the RC/Directi CP it will NOT show on your WHMCS. hostricity
OK, that's what I figured. But, now - how do we move existing customers from our "global" DirectI account to the "individual" ResellerClub accounts?
sonoracomm
Dont allow the end users to use the RC/Directi CP. disable the email (Customer). I'm new to WHMCS. OK, it seems to make sense that I want domain customers (ResellerClub module) to use only my WHMCS to manage their domains. Is it safe to assume that WHMCS will provide all the feedback, warnings and notices needed to maintain the customer? Where do I disable the Customer e-mail? DirectI Admin CP -> Settings -> Mail Prefs? Thanks much, G
