Something changed. If the Tax Rule State does not match exactly the clients State (AZ is not the same as Arizona) tax will not be charged. All our clients have always been AZ. The state changed the sales tax so the rule was deleted and recreated. The drop down box for State in tax rules is now Arizona (it must have been AZ before). So, how do I edit the tax rule to be AZ instead of changing several hundred clients from AZ (that has been correct for many years) to Arizona? If WHMCS has any other explanation how this happened I would love to hear it.

Hi All, After the last WHMCS update, we implemented the new domainsync.php method of sync'ing expiration and due dates. It's apparently working fine. We get an e-mail message every day. It's entirely useless, unless of course there is an error. But ther never has been. So, I'd like to silence the e-mail...we get enough of that stuff without adding yet another to the daily list. I tried to silence the cron job entirely by appending ">/dev/null 2>&1" to the command line as I have done before to silence other cron jobs. But it doesn't work...why I don't know. The script is Ioncube encoded so there is no tweaking it or troubleshooting it. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to silence this script? I'd prefer to silence it intelligently...maybe by grep'ing the output for 'error' or something like that. But since I've not seen an error, I don't even know what I would grep for. Suggestions anyone? Thanks, G

Hi, Several of our customers have gotten e-mail messages like the following. Neither the message content nor Googling has provided a clear explanation and the customers are contacting us for an explanation. Does anyone know the story on this? From: "Public Domain Registry" <contact@publicdomainregistry.com> Date: July 26, 2012 7:23:23 PDT To: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Subject: Change in Registrar Name Reply-To: contact@publicdomainregistry.com Dear Customer, This email has been sent to notify you that the Registrar on record for th e Domain Names you have registered through us will be changed to PDR LTD D/B /A PublicDomainRegistry.com in the next 2 weeks. What do I need to do? You don't have to do anything. This change has absolutely no impact on you r Domain Names and there will be no interruption in your services during thi s change. Will my Domain Names continue to resolve? Yes, all your Domain Names will continue to resolve and you can access and manage your Domain Names as you currently do. Why has this email been sent to me? According to ICANN's regulations, all Registrants must be notified in case of a change in the Registrar Name. Once again we'd like to assure you that this change has absolutely no impa ct on your Domain Names. -- Warm Regards Public Domain Registry PublicDomainRegistry.com/contactus Subscription Details: This is a one-time notification email that you're re ceiving as you've registered a Domain Name through Public Domain Registry. Thanks in advance, G

Hello, Does anyone have an updated version of this script? I experimented with the script in domainduedateUU.zip, but it didn't work completely. I am currently using an older version that works with WHMCS 5.0. It works great, but it dosn't have some of the added features such as 'output sorted by due dates' and 'hosting due date synchronization'. I'm not familiar with PHP, so I'm checking here... Thanks in advance, G

Thanks for the answer. I supposed it would work as you suggest but not do what I wanted. Thanks again.

I mistakenly posted this in "General Discussion", sorry. I'll try here. I apologize if this has been asked and answered but the search function on this forum sucks and I refuse to read 400 posts. Can someone tell me what the "Generate Due Invoices" on the Summary tab of a client does? I would like it to generate and or (it appears to give a choice) send due invoices so I could either have the system send them or have them to send via an eamail I create. That is what it seems it should do. I have tested with a test account and all I ever get is "0 invoices created" and nothing happens. Does it do anything for anyone and if so what? Edit: I looked in the documentation and couldn't find anything either. Don't get me started

Hi John, We're using Virtualmin Pro. I'm sorry to say this but I intended to post this question in the Virtualmin forums, so I apologize for that. If I find a good answer to my question, I'll post it here... G

Hi, I have a situation where a client has a primary domain plus two alias domains. They are keeping one of the alias domains and are letting the other two domains expire. Is there an easier way to move forward than deleting everything, then recreating a new account with the old alias domain as the primary (only) domain? Thanks in advance, G

Hi there, I'm certainly interested in your findings. Thank you for looking into it. I'm just revisiting this issue after a long while. I even forgot it was a custom script and not a built-in (as it probably should be). Thanks again to the author, as well. G

Access Denied - You must be logged in to download this file
sonoracomm replied to Phonix's topic in Using WHMCS
I am also getting this same error when I try to download the WHMCS 3.8.2 update. I tried clearing cache/cookies and my WHMCS license shows as 'active'. This also happened just after resetting my password to the WHMCS Client Area. ? G -
Here's the link...it's from the very first post in this thread. http://forum.whmcs.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=407&d=1225318263 Also, I added <br> tags after the "Email Address:" and "Password:" text so the input fields always show below the labels. G

I suggest you just install the module from the firs post, then just edit modules/mod_whmcs/mod_whmcs.php. You have to edit it anyway and it's easy. Here's mine: <?php //Client Login// /** * WHMCS Client Login Module * @package Joomla * @copyright Copyright (C) 2008 Kurt Nelson. All rights reserved. * @license http://www.gnu.org/copyleft/gpl.html GNU/GPL, see LICENSE.php */ ?> <form method="post" action="https://www.sonoracomm.com/client/dologin.php?goto=clientarea"> Email Address: <input type="text" name="username" size="20" /><br> Password: <input type="password" name="password" size="20" /><br> <input type="submit" value="Login"> </form> Make sure you post to your own server... IHTH, G

help with wrapping description in pdf invoice
sonoracomm replied to decor's topic in Developer Corner
Take a look at the latest 3.8.1 pdfconfig.php file. They have implemented new code in the area you are looking at to wrap a bit better. G foreach ($invoiceitems AS $item) { if (strlen($item["description"])>75) { $numlines = ceil(strlen($item["description"])/75); $cellheight = $numlines * 5; $pdf->MultiCell(130,$cellheight,$item["description"],1,'L','',0); $pdf->MultiCell(40,$cellheight,$currencysymbol.$item["amount"],1,'C','',0); $pdf->SetXY(20,$pdf->GetY()); } else { $pdf->Cell(130,6,$item["description"],1); $pdf->Cell(40,6,$currencysymbol.$item["amount"],1,0,'C'); } $pdf->Ln(); } -
I have implemented the original module posted, with a few changes. Thanks very much. Though it would be ideal to have the 'bridge' (I think it was referred to) function, just having it take the client to WHMCS is useful to me. I changed modules/mod_whmcs/mod_whmcs.php so it posts securely (https://) and takes the client to my own WHMCS as well as added the closing (input) tags and <br> tags as suggested. Thanks again, G

This would work fine for me. Is this module available for download? Thanks, G

WHMCS checksums - Essential pre-upgrade tool
sonoracomm replied to Nick's topic in Third Party Add-ons
Wow, I found this contrib while looking at Nick's other admin home page contrib. This is great. Thanks again, G -
It seems to work OK. I'll test further... Thanks very much for this contribution! I too find that the Intelligent Search feature does not work any more. Thanks again, G

Moving accounts from Directi module to Reseller Club module
sonoracomm replied to hostricity's topic in General Discussion
I'm new to WHMCS. OK, it seems to make sense that I want domain customers (ResellerClub module) to use only my WHMCS to manage their domains. Is it safe to assume that WHMCS will provide all the feedback, warnings and notices needed to maintain the customer? Where do I disable the Customer e-mail? DirectI Admin CP -> Settings -> Mail Prefs? Thanks much, G
