Plan creation

Recommended Posts

Hi there! this is my first posst and want to advise that my english is not the best!

So I'm starting with WHMCS after 1 month am starting to understandnd it, being a little hard due to never used any billing system before.

So my question is:

Is there any way to create a hosting plan that works just with traffic (no matter time, not any paid per month plan).

So when the customer just pay traffic. If traffic finish then service will be stopped by whmcs.

Is that option possible to configure?

May be useful for centova hosting using traffic option.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, by the way .... is this the forum to post some errors and where to ask how to import domaind and plesk accounts into WHMCS?

Thanks again! ;)

Your English is just fine. Better than some people who's first language is English. If you want to avoid explaining that English is not your first language, it's a good idea to enter at least your nationality in to your profile. It then shows with each post.

Do you want to sell bandwidth by the block, say €10 per 100GB's?

So when the customer just pay traffic. If traffic finish then service will be stopped by whmcs.

Something like this? In this example, the customer buys 100GB's and when that runs out, they are not supplied any more. My example is renewed the following month but I could have ticked "One Time" radio button instead of the "Monthly" one and it would stop operating once the 100GB were used.

NOTE: I allowed 100MB of disc space so as not to run into unforeseeable problems.

Yes, that's correct.

Hey thanks for your reply Austdata.

Well, the sample that you sent me looks like empty ! :)

Anyway, I just want to know how that works. I mean is it possible to setup different bandwidth packages? Should that work on an automated way? will centova account autorenew after the user purchase any bandwidth package? would that be upgradable and automated? is account going to change everytime that bandwidth runs out?

I would like to see that sample you told me, the link show me an empty group (Bandwidth) :)

Oops! I turned it off too soon. I'll start it again.

Not sure what "centova" is.

The same amount is entered in the Bandwidth Limit (on the Module Settings tab). There are three different products in my example.

What would happen in my example is, customer would purchase "bandwidth block", it is a reoccurring invoice, the bandwidth amount will be reset each month, the account wont allow more than the set amount of bandwidth to be used. The accounts are defined as "Upgradeable" under the "Upgrades tab" for the product details.

I haven't tested it but there is no reason it wont work exactly the same as a hosting plan with 500MB space and 10GB of bandwidth. We've just taken away the 500MB of space. It wont give out more bandwidth, cPanel will alert the customer when bandwidth is low, it wont give the customer more than their quota.

If cPanel jack up about the disc space, just give it 1MB or something like that or set it up as an add-on in cPanel. WHMCS wont be the problem.

It would be worth you while to create a test account manually in cPanel without disc space to see if there is a problem. Let me know how it goes too.

Cheers,

Mike
