hightekhosting
We've got and had an issue with Paypal subscriptions for a while now but never really had many subscribers to worry about it, but now we do, its becoming a growing issue. Basically, to explain what happens: 1) Customer Orders Hosting package 2) Customer also orders dedicated IP or another addon item on the same order, same cart etc. 3) Customer hits subscribe and follows to paypal 4) Paypal subscription signs them up for the first invoice amount and the subsequent invoices at the lower rate. Further EG on point 4: a) Client signs up for hosting for $12.97 per month b) on the same hosting order, they also order addon option for $4 per month c) when subscribing, the subscription states first invoice at $16.97 and subsequent invoices at $12.97 Basically, even though the 2 components (both hosting and addon) are being billed on the same invoice, same day, they are not being taken into account with the subscription and its only registering the hosting fee but not the addon on the next payment cycle. Does anyone have the same issue and if so, how did you resolve this? We'd like to get this resolved, as some clients get invoices for the eg amount of $16.97, but the subscription only credits $12.97 off the invoice but leaves the $4 as unpaid and in turn, sends overdue reminders to the clients, which we dont want. Any ideas welcome Regards, Dale Evans Manager
HiDef-Laws
I noticed this as well and have done everything I can to remove the cart functionality. It is an even worse problem if they order multiple services all on different payment terms.
apollo1
What version of WHMCS are you guys using?
chickendippers
IIRC this is intentional behaviour.
HiDef-Laws
IIRC this is intentional behaviour. It seems like there is a lot of intentional behavior that prevents proper functionality of Paypal with WHMCS. Perhaps WHMCS should just not list Paypal on their site any longer if everything is going to be geared toward straight card transactions.
dspace
This sounds exactly like what I just started a thread about http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=12441
