lindem
Hi, I started using this utility, but I`ve noticed that I never get a Conversion, then I browsed the link provided by this utility and after signing-up, it was still showing "0" Conversion. Anyone noticed? Is that a bug?
othellotech
Wouldnt *converson* mean a sale was made i.e. you get 8000 *visitors* and 8 buy so you have 0.1% *conversion* ratio ...
lindem
I know... but the problem is that after I get a sale, the conversion is still 0
dexus
I also have a problem with this, I tried to go to my web site through tracking link, and that increased number of clicks +1, so that means that it registered my click, and than I created a new order, but "conversions" is still 0. I have to mention that my WHMCS is on different domain, and it create redirection to other main domain, but I don't think that should be a problem, because Link Tracking should store info about this visit to clients browser session. I also have to mention that I used existing client account to create this order, I don't know does maybe Link Tracking counts only new clients or it should count any order...?

Did you pay for the order ? Maybe its only counting completed sales ?
dexus
No, I didn't pay, that't why I am asking for some explanation about this, how is this actually working... Does it store something in the session...? Is a problem maybe that it is redirecting to different domain...? Or maybe order must be paid... I hope Matt or someone from WHMCS can explain this...
othellotech
No, I didn't pay. create yourself a voucher for 100% off and do another order and test it ... then if it really is only calling conversions "paid sales" we can ask WHMCS to extend the tracker to have multiple counts for clicks signups orders sales etc at which point it becomes very useful, even better if the page is unencrypted so we can make our own mods for tracking based on alpha-names not a simple id number
dexus
Unfortunately I can't try that because I use sequential invoices, and that would increase next invoice number... It would be great if someone can test this, or if someone from WHMCS can explain... I just checked and after "click" on that tracking link also cookie is created with LinkID and that cookie is still there with expiratin +3 months but after I place order, conversion is still not increased. Maybe it really have to be paid...
dexus
No, that is not the reason, I just tried to do that in WHMCS online demo, I manually paid invoice and service is activated, but still nothing, I even tried to "accept" order, and mark it as active/complete but conversion is still 0. Is this working for anyone...?
dexus
I just realised... it must be a new client, conversion will be increased only when new client account is created.
