pinoguin
My client doesn't need any of my hosting/domain purchases, but rather my web development services. The services are priced at 'free' since I need to quote them first. So I always get this: "You must have at least one active order before you can add funds so you cannot proceed at the current time!" Is it possible to disable the order requirement?
chickendippers
Disabling it is very insecure. Before the requirement to have an active order we had problems with fraudsters placing an order then adding funds and paying the order thus bypassing fraud screening.
pinoguin
Hmm.. you mean the fraud protection like maxmind, etc? I don't think I'm using any of those... Do you think it's a good idea to have some setting that enables a few clients to add funds without an order?
chickendippers
Yes I do, before this was implemented we were receiving several fraudulent orders a week using this loophole.
tbenoit
Another issue with this comes from migrating clients from from another billing app into WHMCS. The migrated clients don't have an Active Order within WHMCS and as such can't Add Funds to their account.
