Zorro67
Hi all, My registrar's API doesn't support url forwarding, but I'd like to offer it as an configuarble option for any additional doman name that clients don't need to purchase hosting for. the coding part is fairly obvious, but does anyone know if I might experience any issues during order if I enable this feature for a registrar that doesn't support it (Distibute IT)?
chickendippers
So if a customer ordered it you'd have to manually configure it each time your customer wanted to change the target url?
Zorro67
I'd be OK with that, won't have too many to setup.
chickendippers
In that case it wouldn't have any effect. WHMCS might send you an error email when someone tries to order it?

othellotech
why not disable it at the registrar/domain level, and "sell" it as a product in the same way as hosting ?
Zorro67
Thanks Rob, i hadn't thoiught of that. Suppose it come down to how many "register single domains" versus reister domain plus sub-domain plus create re-directs" that i get as a ratio.
