JohnJ
Is there a way to make the "Request Cancellation" link for clients automatically delete their chosen package?
jasonBV
Do you mean cancel or completely delete the package? The cron script timing could be up'd for the cancellation but I don't see any benefit from the "immediate" or "end of billing" period timing now. If the package was completely deleted, I'm not sure but this might also effect the reports in whmcs as well.
JohnJ
So WHMCS does automatically cancel things when cancellation requests are made? I wasn't sure if I had to do it manually or not.
othellotech
Its automated (subject to the module actually being able to automate the cancels)
Nick
It's also something you can turn on and off in the automation settings As far as I know 'immediate' cancellation requests aren't actually automatically processed, only 'end of billing period' requests on their due date.
chickendippers
Immediate requests are processed when the cron runs.
mediademon
What about "end of billing period" requests where the invoice has already been raised, will the cron cancel the invoice?
chickendippers
Not yet: http://dev.whmcs.com/index.php?version=planned
mediademon
wow - issue 28, looks like this has been kicking round for a long time!
K Ashok
In the current upgraded version , whenever any cancellation request is initiated from client's end . We don't manually need to choose the " Terminate " option in WHMCS . Also the renewal invoice and package will get automatically canceled if we click on " Close Clients Account " in billing account. One more thing , if cancellation request is placed for any package in billing account and if that package is still active in billing system then no any invoice will be generated for the renewal of same package .
mediademon
Also the renewal invoice and package will get automatically canceled if we click on " Close Clients Account " in billing account. That's not helpful if you are only ending a single package and there are other packages on the client... One more thing , if cancellation request is placed for any package in billing account and if that package is still active in billing system then no any invoice will be generated for the renewal of same package. Again, if the invoice has already been generated this doesn't cut the mustard
