SilverNodashi
Hi How do I bill bandwidth usage, especially over usages? Let's say I allocate 500MB bandwidth to a hosting plan, and a client uses 700MB, how will WHMCS know about the 200MB over usage? This will be either on cPanel or Plesk hosting accounts
Iceman
Thats a very good question. Please see my posts here: http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?t=9762 as that is what we have been trying to work out how to do SIMPLY for some time now. (Specifically: http://forum.whmcs.com/showpost.php?p=60271&postcount=21) Hopefully Matt does have an easy solution for us though. Matt? SilverNodashi
ok, so doesn't this feature exist at all, or is there some hack to get it working?
ausloki
With both my Plesk and Freeradius servers all the client usage/bandwidth is recorded directly in to the backend SQL (MySQL in this case) someone with good coding skills should be able to writie a function we could call from a cron to pull the matching records into WHCMS for billing and viewing stats. When the client then logs into there portal they should have not only the facility to see there old invoices but also there usage for there plans etc.
Iceman
But this doesn't solve the problem. We have numerous dedicated servers that we need to manually input the traffic details every month for the specific clients. Cheers, Paul
othellotech
You'll need to write something to compare plan allocated BW to MRTG/Cacti Graph details and use the API to create an invoice.
