minadreapta
i need some help/advices on how to make the upgrade from 3.6.0 to 3.6.1 some facts i have to mention here: 1. i use actionhooks 2. i have moved the templates_c, downloads and attachments directories above the public_html 3. i have renamed the admin directory 4. the templates are highly customized i see these aspects are not referenced on the v3.6.1 Readme file regarding upgrading, so i wanted to make sure i don't mess the things up... so how do i go about upgrading? (apart from comparing the changed tpl files and making the right changes?) any advices are welcomed. thanks.
chickendippers
I haven't taken a look at 3.6.1 yet, but there's usually a list of every modified template.
minadreapta
i wanted to know if the upgrade script takes the modifications into consideration.
chickendippers
AFAIK the upgrade script just make modifications to the database, modifications are made to the files themselves which would be overridden when you upload the new 3.6.1 files.
jimmy1987
Just don't upload the templates folder then? I've got a highly customized template too, and when i uploaden and upgraded my whmcs from 3.6.0 to 3.6.1 the last time it was saying i got no clients at all, so i'm still using 3.6.0 .
chickendippers
But the new features use new entries in the template files. Not updating the templates would mean loads of the new features wouldn't work.
