Tax not showing on Order screen

Can anyone help, I have set up an AUD tax called GST @10% and created products that have tax ticked in the 'other' tab.

When I look at orders screen and add a product to the cart it does not show tax. I have also tried setting Tax to Inclusive and exclusive but still won't show.

Can someone help me with what I have forgot to do.

Hi Dail,

I have the same setup.

Assuming you have set your tax to 'apply to all states' you are almost there.

Set to inclusive, so that the client sees the right price before ordering.

The actual tax calc isn't done until there is an address to calculate tax for, so unless you have registered the client as part of the order process, WHMCS won't know to charge tax.

try this test. Login to your backend, select any client (preferably a dummy).

On the summary page, log in as that client.

Then go through the order process.

If you have an AU address for that client, tax should now be showing in the cart.

There is a point where you might also need to click the update cart button to have it recalculate tax.

We made some major changes to our order form templates for this very reason.

The customer FIRST selects if they are to be billed in AUS or NOT.

This entered data is then used through out the order pages to either show INC GST prices or NOT. We added extra code on all pages to show GST inclusive prices if in AUS. A lot of work at first but it works well. :)

Cheers,

Paul
