Order of Account Processing

The current order of account processing is:

Create Account-->Process Payment

This makes the system slow and causes problems, WHMCS waits until WHM has completed creating the account before it directs the user to pay. Often the system just times out and the user is never directed to pay.

Instead the order of account processing should be:

Process Payment-->Create Account

So the account is not created until the user is out of the checkout process.

I am now considering setting WHMCS to not create accounts until I have manually approved them just so they won't have problems with payment processing. But this means very limited automation.

I currently have WHMCS setup to create accounts instantly (even if payment is not made). That way it will keep sending reminder invoices to the user, and if the user begins using the account they will make payment to prevent the account being suspended.

When WHMCS is setup this way, it creates the account before directing the user to the payment processor.
