Miron
So,folks, let's back to main question. I'm having same issue, my clients can't change cPanel password via Client Area, and Change Password option is disabled in cPanel because sync.
balebond
So Miron, are you saying users can't update hosting passwords in whmcs at all? In other words, the update doesn't take in the whmcs database either?.. or just that it doesn't update cPanel?
Miron
Yes, exactly, but not always, whmcs sometimes return failed message (WHMCS v3.6.1) and sometimes success message. I don't know what depends.
balebond
Yes, exactly, but not always, whmcs sometimes return failed message (WHMCS v3.6.1) and sometimes success message. I don't know what depends. The only reason I ask is that after upgrading to 3.6.1, I had to reinstall my script mentioned earlier in this thread. Not sure why but the functionality just doesn't work "out of the box" on my server for some reason. However, it ALWAYS at least updated the whmcs database and not the cPanel password thus creating the out of sync issue. So, since yours occasionally doesn't update whmcs as well, it sound like a different issue.
