So, I tried the migration script to go from my MB4.4.2 instance to the trial of WHMCS (which I don't know if that's designed to work or not), and I've come up with a LOT of things that didn't work:
1) Package quantity- Not only was the number of purchased packages not transferred, but I didn't even see a field in WHMCS to import that data to!!?? Maybe I don't know where to look, so point me in the proper direction if it exists somewhere outside of products/services. This would be a show-stopper, as more of our clients have multiple purchases of one package than not.
2) Credit card details- It doesn't appear that *any* of the CC info transferred over. I don't know if this is by design or not, but I do know it would be a pain to require each customer to log in and re-store their CC info. Hopefully transfer of this data is possible.
3) Package price overrides- It appears all of the price overrides we had specified on individual packages for special cases disappeared.
4) Payment type- Surely we can do an import and retain the payment type (CC, check...) without dumping everything into one payment type?
5) Invoices- Although portions of the WHMCS interface indicate that invoices were transferred, nothing is viewable and no invoices are listed in any of the invoice views.
This is all I've found in the first 5 minutes or so of looking around. I guess my question at this point is: Has anyone actually used the migration script?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't a migration in the least sense of the word.
