Mark Donne
Hi, This might be a silly question, but if a customer purchases a domain name through us, how would they get that new domain name into their control panel (in our case DotNetPanel) without manually entering it?!? Before you all scream "WHMCS is a billing system and not a controlling system", is there not a way for the billing system to tell the controlling system that an event has occurred? So far, all we can ascertain is that there is no connection between purchasing/transferring a domain name and having that domain name appear in our control panel (in our case DotNetPanel). Are we missing something? Thanks for any response. Mark Donne
phenglai
I have just begun using WHMCS but in my testing I can purchase a domain and it shows up DNP. I have created allkinds of different packages making sure everything shows up as it should and all seems to work fine. Have you completed the checkout process for the domain you are trying to register? Jerel
Mark Donne
Hi Jerel, Is WHMCS adding the domain name to an existing hosting space in DNP or how have you got it setup? How does it know which hosting space to assign it to?
Mark Donne
How do other control panel systems do it with WHMCS. If a customer purchases a domain name (not from a product) using WHMCS does it appear in their "control" panel.
chickendippers
That's certainly not how it works with cPanel, the user has to add it manually. What if a customer registers a domain name and wants to host it with a different company?
